We are hobbyists, engineering professionals, designers, and students working to design and build vehicles completely from scratch using your designs, opinions, and sponsorships. The process we employ may be the closest thing to an "open source" of car design. This means we work on all of our projects because they are fun and satisfying, and not because we are paid to create them.

We like to consider the following when approaching our projects:

+       We are building cars for fun, and for the challenge of it, as opposed to building for money.

+       There are many viable technologies and materials that are under-utilized in today's automobile.

+       We do not face many of the engineering, design, and performance limitations imposed on car companies and even kit-car makers. Since we don’t need to sell cars, we can challenge ourselves to design a car for achieving one goal, or proving that something is possible.

+       We are free from any rules or regulations. We are not building cars to be legal in a certain state, or to be allowed to race in a certain series, and this principle is what should make many of our cars undoubtedly “absurd”.
